][+_

Following over a year's worth of stagnation, I finally had the time and devotion to partake in the creation of this heading.

Anyways, what I've seen through over a year and what I want to see, have seen and etc., is what I want to start writing about. There are always good things in life today and bad things as well. It's not that bad things always happen but more of it had to happen and we could only witness but not prevent or alleviate it most of the time. As long as most of us know that there are more useful emotions that we can pile up and express the whole time than hate, anger, and revenge for example, some of those bad things will be prevented. But then again, the yin yang tells us that in good there is always a small portion that is bad and vice versa.

I will start by saying that what the f**k is a f**k**g folder costing a f**k**g 380 PESOS per piece even in that DEAL!? Even a kid in grade school won't buy that! That headline ticked me off when I saw it the other day, and I am upset that this government of ours makes our people and our country look stupid day by day. No wonder a lot of our skillful workers leave the country, that government failed to make our country a happier place for all of us. Manila is the densest city in the world in terms of population and yet our infrastructure cannot support the vast number of growing citizens in the city, leading to pollution, extortion, poverty, unemployment, high crime rates, and all other derogatory statistical measurements.

THAT WAS JUST MY MIND BEFORE I DECIDED THAT I WILL TAKE A REST RIGHT NOW. . . .. ..... .. . ..

Why education is more effective than just distributing freebies.

Remember when the Philippines was once a Asian power second only to Japan?
Remember when it was once a gold mine? When everyone could pick gold out from the ground
and use them as decorations for their teeth?
Remember when the Philippines was once the happiest place on Earth?

It really makes me jealous when I see in Philippine History books, the glory that this country had before we just screwed everything up. Now I could only see a country that robbed its people of their education. Public schools with insufficient classrooms, books, teachers and facilities defeated the purpose of having a public school. Because of all of these problems, I couldn't help but create these 3 conspiracy theories of why this country's public education has deteriorated or have been mismanaged. Call me naive or whatever, this is what I've been thinking.

1. Brain Drain

- Public school teachers in the Philippines have really low salary compared what a Public school teacher in the U.S earns, and that's what's making most public school teachers leave and teach in another country with better pay and benefits. Even Socrates nearly starved to death because of poverty. If the country decides to increase the pay of these teachers by a big margin, it could help reduce the brain drain this country is suffering.

2. The lack of furnishing and school supplies available for the schools.

- For some reason, the public schools are only relying on the hand-me-down books from private school students. The worst part is that these hand-me-downs still has to be bought at Recto for prices which is above the purchasing power of these people. Though the smaller books are more affordable than the big ones, the big ones are what these students really need such as the dictionary. Some schools have classes conducted in the Assembly Hall or just simply in the classroom, with no tables and chairs. It's sad that they don't have the tools that could help them be more successful students.

3. Corruption

- This doesn't only affect our education but also our social welfare. The corruption of those in power is so extreme that even our fellow Filipino's minds have been brainwashed. They got them to convince themselves that there is no hope for this country to prosper, but in reality, it has. The greatest mistake of those in power is not stealing the taxpayer's money but also stealing our knowledge. The government's fiscal budget is sufficient enough to provide for the public educational needs of our fellow Filipinos. What I can't understand is why is it that I haven't seen a significant change!! Instead of creating more public schools or the hiring of new teachers, I've seen public schools close! Some of them might be due to the destruction caused by natural calamities but natural calamities cannot justify why those schools affected by those calamities are not repaired or relocated? Lack of Budget? Severe damage done to the school? Or too much personal expenditures for these power hungry bastards? Why are they making education scarce!? The decline in the social welfare of this country is caused by these pigs who use quick-fix solutions to solve the problems of those Filipinos living in poverty when in reality it doesn't work. Education can lead to social welfare. It is not a quick-fix solution but a long term solution to this problem. If you give them knowledge, this country will prosper. It's sad that those in power don't realize what they are doing. Yes, to them it's just signing papers and allocating budgets. But to those in desperate need of help, it's their fate.
